At Richard Pearce Wealth Management we believe strongly that our work is about people, clients, families, our team, and the wider community. That’s why we are delighted to share that we have been verified as a member of the Basingstoke Business for Good (BBfG) scheme. This recognition reflects our commitment to doing business not just for profit, but for the good of our community.
What this means
The BBfG scheme was created to encourage businesses in the Basingstoke and Deane area to adopt more responsible, equitable, and community-focussed practices. According to the organisers, businesses seeking verification commit to at least five out of seven criteria such as paying the real living wage, giving staff a CSR (corporate social responsibility) day, supporting local suppliers, and making charitable contributions.
By achieving this verification, we are making a clear public commitment to these values and will continue to hold ourselves accountable to them.
Why it matters to us
From the founding of Richard Pearce Wealth Management in September 2020, our mission has been to offer more than just financial advice, we strive to build long-term relationships with our clients, putting family values and community at the heart of what we do. We recognise that financial wellbeing and broader social impact go hand in hand.
We are particularly proud of our connection to local causes. Following the diagnosis of Archie, the son of our Director, Richard Pearce, and Business Development Manager, Chloe Pearce- with Type 1 Diabetes, we have committed to supporting him in raising awareness and funds for diabetes charities throughout 2025. Using our St. James’s Place platform, our network, and our social media presence, we aim to amplify his message and help make a meaningful impact for families like ours.
In addition, we proudly support Hampshire Hospitals Charity as our business charity of the year, a cause deeply personal to us. It is where our youngest son- Freddie was born and where Archie, and our whole family, continue to receive exceptional care in managing his diabetes.
A special mention for our collaborator
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Kaia Vincent, who has done outstanding work in bringing local businesses together under the BBfG banner.
Kaia, initiated the scheme out of a desire to see more kindness, community and sustainability in the local business landscape, particularly around Basingstoke.
Her approach is refreshingly practical: The verification process is designed to be supportive, encouraging, and action-oriented rather than burdensome. As the scheme website explains:
“The verification isn’t about making you feel bad about what you’re not doing, it’s just about putting plans in place to be better. There are no judgements – it’s great that businesses want to come on the journey.”
We are proud to be part of this movement and grateful to Kaia for her leadership in connecting businesses, charities and community groups under a shared vision of doing business better.
What’s next for us & our community
Verification is not a finish line, it is a marker on a journey. At Richard Pearce Wealth Management we will continue to:
We are excited by what the future holds. We believe that by working together, businesses, charities and community organisations, we can create meaningful change. If you are a local business interested in joining the BBfG community, we encourage you to explore the scheme and connect with Kaia and the team behind it.
In conclusion
To our clients, thank you for choosing us. Your trust allows us to operate with purpose and impact.
Here’s to the journey ahead, doing well by doing good.
